This grandson of Lyon weavers, Denis Durand grew up in silk. He started the design career in Paris, with Dominique Borg, a theatre costume designer, with whom he created, amongst others, Isabelle Adjani’s costumes for the film Camille Claudel.
One thing leading to another, from lace to embroidery, the discreet artist acquired a wide reputation among privileged and impressed customers.
He adorns them with evening, wedding dresses or chic suits carefully tailor-made in his sewing workshop a few meters away from the legendary Croisette.
In 2011, thirteen years after the creation of his fashion house, he settled at the heart of the International Cinema city, Cannes. As a gracious host, he will honor us with his presence at the Gala.
During the Gala evening, we had the chance to discover his latest designs, a preview of the 15 dresses in his new collection.
