Founded in 2006 by Luisa Maurin and Didier Quillot, the Crystal Globes Award acts as the trend indicator in the Art and Cultural industry. Each year, the Ceremony honors a number of artists and individuals in the disciplines of Arts and Culture.

 

The peculiarity, which makes of this ceremony a prestigious event, is the very nature of the Jury. The voters are not Arts and Culture professionals, but specialized journalists.

 

A Jury, composed of thirty journalists specialized in the different fields, will vote for a list of five works of art or artists selected from twelve categories.

 

This list is then sent to around 15.000 journalists from national, regional, and local TV, radio and written press with a view to the final vote. The winner of each category will be the one who gets the most votes, from anonymous voting. Thanks to its uniqueness, this event has become a major rendezvous of the French cultural scene within a decade.
